An Andover Malayalee family has been decorating their home every year with spectacular Christmas lights and unveiled their this year’s dazzling festive display with a special switch-on event.
James Savior and Dolly from Andover in Hampshire have been lighting up their home for Christmas every year with over 10,000 lights and it’s no different this year.
The switch-on event held on Thursday, 25th November was attended by the Town Mayor as well as Ex Mayors, Councillors, Rotary Club members, neighbours and leading members of the local community.
Local vicar Fr. Austin gave a short prayer and blessed occasion.
Father Christmas also called in and joined the celebration. It was a proud moment for James and Dolly.
It’s in fact a talk of the town, a colleague told James.
“Several families from near and far come round and stop outside our house to see the festive decorations. They take pictures and videos.”
“I really like seeing people enjoying the decorations and festive lights, especially kids,” said James Xavior.
Andover Rotary Club is collecting donations from the public which will be used to install an Aluminium Hold Foil Recycling project in town.
