Popular short-story writer Sicily George passed away

Popular Malayalam short story writer and novelist Sicily George (78) from East Ham, passed away today. She was a regular writer in Kerala Link.

Sicily was admitted to Whipps Cross hospital in East London, earlier this month following abdominal discomfort and pain.

She was later diagnosed with stomach cancer. Her condition deteriorated quickly and sadly passed away today 24th December.

Born in Thrissur, Sicily was living in East Ham for more than 10 years. Her husband Mr Raphel George passed away when she was 36. Sicily single-handedly raised her three children, Jilmet (UK), Juliet (USA), Jerish (Canada).

Sicily was a regular writer in Kerala Link. Her short stories are very popular with Kerala Link readers. She will be sadly missed by our readers as well as her family and friends.
