Do you know someone who went the extra mile to help fellow community members?
This may be through an organisation or local charity, good neighbourliness, running a campaign to improve community cohesion or facilities.
An award has been set up to recognise those who spend time to help community members. You may nominate yourself or another person for the award.
The last date for submitting the application is 31st January 2022
The award is in memory of Late Mr T Haridas, a former High Commission official, public activist and philanthropist who has dedicated time in assisting and helping the community members.
This is the first time such an award has been instituted among UK Malayalees to mark the community service provided by an individual.
Nominations will be reviewed by a panel made up of people with experience and talent in this field. The judging panel consists of Dr. Joshi Jose (Chairman), Philip Abraham, KR Shijumon, Ajith Paliath, Suju Daniel and Shinu Mathew.
The award consists of a certificate of appreciation and a cash reward of one thousand pounds.
The award selection committee will select one person from the shortlist prepared by the panel. The award ceremony will be held on the occasion to mark the first anniversary of Mr.Haridas’ death(24th March).
